Our Journey
Cut From Sound began with a simple idea to give new life to old records.
Based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, we transform reclaimed vinyl records into notebooks and everyday objects designed to inspire creativity and connection. Each piece is handmade with care, celebrating sustainability, craftsmanship, and the beauty of reuse. We believe that what once carried music’s vibrations can continue to carry positive vibrations, into ideas, sketches, notes, and daily rituals. Our work honors the past while making space for something new.
After 20 years under the name Wrecords By Monkey, we rebranded as Cut From Sound to clarify our mission: upcycling with intention, building community, and learning to read the vibrations in the materials and the people around us.
